Background
Continued development of The Spit and the redevelopment of the Mariners Cove facilities will see some marine tourism operators being permanently displaced. As the marine tourism industry grows, along with the number of recreational vessels, there is a need to increase the supply of marina berths. The City is working collaboratively with the Queensland Government to secure additional berths within the Broadwater.
