Key infrastructure projects
These will connect regionally significant areas within the Gold Coast to each other, the rest of South East Queensland and beyond, include:
- Coomera Connector
- Extension of light rail from Broadbeach to Coolangatta
- New high-frequency public transport (Broadbeach via Bond University to Robina)
- Heavy rail extension to Gold Coast Airport.

Carter's Basin market release
The site release will seek a commercial marina and associated land side facilities. It will create opportunities for marine tourism businesses and a mixed-use development, including a hard lift loading/unloading capability.
