Marinas stretch from Southport to Steiglitz in the city’s north, including a megayacht berth at the Southport Yacht Club. The City partnered with the Queensland Government to deliver the $9 million berth in 2022.

We have the largest concentration of marine trades in the country who specialise in the manufacture, maintenance and refit of marine craft for the Australian and international markets, from luxury superyachts to smaller recreational aluminium boats.  

Our accessory manufacturers deliver a diverse range of hardware, accessories, lighting, and dock flotation systems, with many Gold Coast products found within the build of yachts and marinas around the world. Exports are creating opportunities for growth for industry operators.

The City is working to protect harbour-side land for marine industry growth. Including an industrial zone in Coomera for marine manufacturing, servicing, repairs and refits of recreational boats. The Coomera Marine Precinct is one of the most advanced marine industry cluster developments in the Southern Hemisphere.
